・The seller said again, “Hold out your hands,” but again the little boy would not. The kind seller reached down, took the child's hands, and filled them with two handfuls of cherries. (売り手は再び言いました。「手を差し出してごらん」と。しかし、またもやその少年は従いませんでした。優しい売り手は腰を下げ、少年の手を取り、それぞれに一杯のチェリーを詰めてあげました。)
【研究】hold [put] out one's hands で「手を差し出す」を意味します。
